#TrashCatTuesday – Episode 13
A few weeks back we did a really heavy episode on the subject of mental health. Songs of suicide, sadness, crippling depression. There was a point in the middle I almost broke. Watching it back later to cut the sound together was rough. We received a lot of messages about that one. People enjoyed it overall, in the way you can enjoy something so sad, but largely we were tasked with doing a follow up episode that’s more…the lighter side of mental health?
This is our attempt. Whether it’s the manic tales of Syd Barrett sinking deeper into madness, or a song about my friend Sarah who “got better”. Even the point of view of a depressed mans cat. To cap it off a song about trying to stay positive in a world that is always trying to keep you down.
This is the lighter side of mental health. A more positive spin perhaps. Showing that there are ups and downs when it comes to these things.
